I was cruising Brownells website and stopped to check out the chamber maids. Any good, have you guys had any success with them, or is their a better way and save my money? The little star looking patches seem like they would work good but I havent used one yet. Let me know what yall think.

they work ok, but I prefer the q-tip and forcep method

I tried it, but the star kept coming off. Not worth the money IMO. Love the chamber cleaner from Sinclair int.

They are not bad.  I pump MPro7 foam into the chamber area...wait 10-15 minutes and use two stars.

The first star cleans up the gunk and the second comes with little to no carbon.

I use them at home.  Still don't know if I will add them to my field kit....yet.

I like the way they work.  I bought a huge bag of them a while back but I think they're more expensive now.  Worth the money?  That depends.  I would imagine that with a set of foreceps and some regular cleaning patches you can do a pretty good job too... But I don't have foreceps.  I'd say the chamber maids are definitely better than just using q-tips.

For those that have used them, don't they push all the gunk in deeper or they absorbant enough that everything sticks to them?
