Is it possible to convert a chrome moly barrel with standard 5.56x45 chamber to a
Wylde chamber? What tools besides the reamer would be needed?

I thought a wylde chamber is tighter than a 5.56, but bigger than a .223. I think you would have to ream out a .223, or somehow (if possible) add to a 5.56. Not completely sure, and I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

No, the standard 5.56's throat diameter is too large for the wylde reamer to clean up.

Right I think the Wylde is inbetween a Match chamber and a standard 5.56Mil chamber.

I am new to the AR rifle & what I have been told is that the wylde chamber helps the rifle fire 223 Remington & military 223 without any feeding or extraction problems . The military 223 would be the 5.56 , since it is a NATO round , I guess . I do not know what the physical difference in the two rounds are  though and I do not anything about re-chambering .

The wylde chamber is a modified 5.56 chamber with a friction fit throat diameter, an extended throat length and a larger body diameter.

The Wylde reamer is slightly larger in the body and considerably tighter in the throat than a regular 5.56 chamber.
