[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Chamber issue

Just got done building my 20 inch and this is what
happened. pic 1 is what happened to the first 22 shots
pic 2 is what I see in the chamber, notice the ridge..
Any thoughts on what I may be????
I think it might be shot because the barrel is melonited inside and out...

Chamber looks like it is rough and also fired brass looks to have expanded too much.

Replacement barrel required.

On the bright side, when you replace it, you can get your feed ramps to align with the upper as well.

I had a similar problem with a commercially produced rifle. I sent this photo to the manufacturer.

They instructed me to send the entire upper back and they replaced the barrel; actually upgraded it to a more expensive barrel for free,

Nice deal there.. I am hoping I can get this fixed soon.. I am ready to send it
if needed..
I have a 11.5 inch by same manufacturer and it eats every pill I have
fed it with not even a hiccup..
That is why I am holding off judgement..for now...

Barrel was replaced at no cost and the chamber is like it
should be..
