I took a 2.9 oz. buffer apart. There 3 pieces of iron in there, about .56" in diameter with rubber between them. What if I put lead or shot in there to bring up the weight?

Edit: There is not enough room in there to bring it up to 9mm buffer weight.

I did fill one with #8 shot,,,, took to post office and weighed it, weighed same as did with the 3 barrels and washers. The std 2.9oz CAR buffer is TOO light to run a full auto. Refer to the buffer thread in the other thread you started.
