[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Charging Handle Question

Has anyone replaced the charging handle on there Colt 6920? If so, what do you recommend as a replacement handle? I'm looking at the BCM Gunfighter but not sure what size. Small,medium or large

I think you are on the right track, I have the medium in my other AR, and I'd like another for my 6920 as well.

Medium just seems like the perfect size to me.

Medium on all my carbines with RDS.

Large on the scoped SPR.

The Gunfighters are a must have add on for me, like LaRue mounts and MOE pistol grips.

I have a couple medium BCM's which are great but I bought one of the Raptors. Not cheap but they're pretty awesome, IMO.

I need to upgrade mine. Kind of hard to charge mine with the scope on it. Need something with a little more meat on it to grab hold of.

AXTS Raptor for unsuppressed, PRI M84 GasBuster for suppressed are my two charging handles of choice.

Buying a latch will save you about $20. All your doing is replacing the latch in your current charging handle.

I like the PRI combat and big latch.

My office just ordered a bunch of Gunfighters. I was the only one to get the small, everybody else bought the mediums. While I like the medium, and it sticks out about as far as any other tactical latch, I really like the small I got.

On the note of why the Gunfighter, by the time you spend money on a tactical latch to add to your standard CH, you're most of the way to the GF. That, coupled with the design- stress is not put on the roll pin, and the GF has raised fences that help redirect any gas- make it one of the few mods I would recommend to anyone.

I used to be meh on the GF until I tried one. I'm sold now.

I usually run a PRI gasbuster, or I'll just switch out the latch with a PRI one depending on the configurtion of the rifle.

I installed a Badger Ord Gen II Tact Latch on a stock CH. Works just fine. Bought a BCM Mod 4 (med), VERY nice. Should have a Raptor in my mailbox this Thursday so I'll see which one I like better.

Makes charging a scoped rifle easy even with gloves on. The BCM handle is much stronger than the standard handle with a large latch

BCM Mod 4 on my 6920. Its awesome and even better with gloves on.
