| I got a Tac Latch for Christmas. I put it on my Oly .45 upper. One thing I've noticed is that it gives me enough leverage to twist the charging handle causing it to bind up on the buffer tower. Is this a matter of technique (like making sure I pull straight back) or are there differences in charging handles? |

You probably have a combination of technique, and an extruded rather than forged and machined CH. I have tac latches on all mine because I'm a lefty - no problems at all though. |

You wanna' recommend me a good charging handle? I think Bravo Company is in stock on CMT charging handles now - I've not had any problems with them at all. Or, if you want to get fancy you can get a PRI gas buster charging handle - pricey but GTG as well. |
| I thought the purpose of it was speed. If I'm wrong, I can accept it; BUT I thought the purpose of it was to allow me to quickly mash the charging handle to the rear with force. I have this on my .45 AR which doesn't have a bolt hold-open so every mag change requires a pull to the rear. I want to be able to do it quickly with my right hand. I see the Gen II tac latch is just laterally longer but not higher so twisting doesn't seem like it would be an issue. |
| I looked at them but not sure how its ever an advantage. Its plenty easy to charge it in a split second with your right hand. If its shouldered the rifle doesn't even move off of POI while only moving my head all of 1" off the stock. Although I'm not sure why if someone was in a situation that it needed to be charged 'in a hurry' that it wasn't already charged in the first place.... |

Get ready to accept it.. they were originally designed to help clear the optics on precision rigs. Do as Devl suggested and your problem will be solved.. +1 As a side benefit, makes it easier on lefties like me. |
