[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Charging Handle sizes

Is there a diferance in size between charging handles for A1 and A2/3 recievers. I purchased a DPMS A1 carbine recently. I decided to swap ot the charging handle and the new one doesn't fit. It will not slide into the reciever at all. I don't have another reciever to test the new charging handle in to see if it's out of spec.

There is no difference in the charging handle sizes between A1, A2, A4 etcetera.

Now, I have read about differences in size with DPMS charging handles.

Way out of spec charging handle, a few miutes with the dremel and it fits great. Looks like homemade sin but it works. I'll pick up a pretty new one down the line.
