| Anybody built on one of these? My local shop has had one sitting in the cabinet for a while now at $140. I bet I could get them to shave a few dollars off. Whats the quality of these like. Im assuming if its mil spec the its gtg but just wanted some first hand experience. |
| I've touched a CD built rifle. Seemed like a good quality piece of equipment. Everyone that I've seen talk about assembling on these lowers here seems to be pleased with their purchase. And in the current market, $140 on this lower is a very good price as it stands. But it never hurts to see if you can do a little better. |
| yeah its just when i see charles daley i think of the shotgun the guy always tries to sell me at walmart. I had a CD 12gauge that jammed up so bad we had to take it to a gunsmith on the first outing with it. Brand new shotgun and was down for the count within 10shells. |

I built a CD lower with a Stag LPK, a commercial buffer, CTR buttstock , RRA M4 upper and bolt, and MOE hand grips.
For an optic I am using a aimpoint Comp M4 with a ADM mount with a SOCOM spacer for a lower 1/3 cowitness and a A.R.M.S. 40 BUIS. The lower was really easy to build. After reading all of the stories about broken trigger guards, scratched receivers, etc. I was a bit apprehensive. But after all of that it took me all of 30 minutes to finish the lower without a scratch. I used the vice grip method with a finish nail to drive the pins the last bit. I have put over 600 rounds through it in last two weeks. The only failure I had was because of the buffer tube. The buffer/spring, something was binding in the tube and the bolt carrier would hang in full battery. I disassembled it, put it all back together and it worked perfectly. Not sure what it was, but I put 300 rounds through it yesterday without a problem. I have tried 160 rnd of wolf, 100 rounds of silver bear, 200 rounds of walmart special, and 300 or so of Lake City. I do think I will change the buffer tube to a milspec one in case that was the issue I had. |
