Cheap Irons: MBUS from Magpul ($55 for rear sight, $38 for front sight)
Cheap Red Dot: Primary Arms M3 or M4 clone ($70 for M3 or $90 for M4) - if you had more $$$ to spend, Vortex Strike Fire for $150 is also a good choice. Cheap Free Float Rail: UTG ($60) - please do not crucify my, guys - I am merely answering the OP's question. ETA: I see that you are in Bahrain - I hope you are not getting these for eventual real life situations? |

| This is just what I've read, but I HEARD that people are having problems with seeing the dot on the Vortex red dots. I believe that this is due to be remedied with a red dot only model that is brighter. On the other hand, I've read nothing but good things about the Primary Arms stuff, although I've never seen one myself. Just something that you might want to look into. |

The new red-only StrikeFires are out now. I had mine out today (older red/green model) and it was pretty bright out at times and I had no trouble seeing the dot at any time. Going with the newer model should alleviate any issue with washout, I would think. |

I don't have any experience with cheap rails or BUIS, but as far as a cheap red dot, I'd look at the Primary Arms stuff. I needed a red dot for my AR pistol, but didn't want to hang one of my ACOGs or EOTechs on it. It's my "point 'n shoot" gun, plus I wanted something small and light. I figured a T-1 would be perfect, but I just can't bring myself to pay $600.00+ for a dot in a tube. Although I HATE clone/copy optics, I thought for $60 bucks I'd give the little Primary Arms T-1-type red dot a try, and they seem to be pretty up-front with their stuff.
Well, I'm quite impressed with the little bugger. FAST shipping, well-packaged and very well-built. They were very up-front about it being a "blem" due to sealing issues, but I followed their instructions and have had NO problems. Clear glass, nice, positive "clicks" for W/E, and the intensity knob is positive (and tight!). The dot's very bright at it's highest setting, even in direct sunlight....no washout. So far (a couple hundred rounds) it's held zero just fine. Although it comes with a standard rail mount (detachable), I waited to see if it was junk or not before I upgraded the mount. Well, I ordered the LaRue QD mount the next day. It mounted perfectly on the LaRue (lower 1/3 co-witness). Based on this little guy, I would imagine that the rest of Primary Arms stuff is GTG. I won't be selling off my ACOGS or EOs anytime soon, but for a good, solid, nicely-finished budget optic, it's a deal. I'm gonna order a couple more just "because". |

Let's think about this for a sec.
Assuming since you want cheap gear...... I'm going to assume your shooting cheap ammo, through a standard barrel. Which leads me to my next point.... Why even bother getting a "cheap" free float when you could go for a Magpul MOE. If you want inexpensive, run a good carbine outfitted with a MBUS rear (assuming your have a front sight post), Magpul MOE handguards (you can still mount a flash light and other rails as your see fit). Then either of the of the cheap optics stated above. The Magpul stuff is good to go through anything. The optic, YMMV |
