Just want something to play with.  Can put 10 rounds in an 8" circle with no bench rest using iron sights at 100 yards.  Want a CHEAP scope to play with until I bite and get an EOTEC.  Using an A2 carry handle.  I know a scope on an A2 isn't ideal.  I just want to hit the target at 100 yards with a little more precision.  I would also like a compact scope as well.  Are any of the BEC's or BSA's any good for just having fun?

Get one of the Leapers/Norinco 4x20 Colt's ripoff scopes.  Works fine on a handled receiver and they're no more than $40.  If you like it save your money for a real Colt's scope with good Japanese optics.  If you don't like it you're not out much.

I'll second Chuck's recommendation with one Caveat - you need to use LocTite on the 4 screws that hold the scope to the mount.  While firing I've had my screws come out resulting in a wandering zero.  Once LocTited the scope held zero fine.
