I find this to be so cool. Guy is claiming to have found this in Cambodia and wants to bring it back.If this is not retro I don't know what is.

If you guy's have any helpful info for him so he can possibly be able to bring it back, I think you should let him know.

Two vertical torch cuts that each remove 1/2" of material are the only way to make this thing legally importable.

Yep, that's an unregistered machine gun if it comes into the states.

Sad what the elements and time can do to such a beautiful piece of history. I wonder how many commies that thing sent on to the next life?

Oh MAN that would be cool!

I would shoot the dookie out of it if I could bring it back!

On AR15 SP1's that rear roll marking was not used until 1977. Maybe M16's were different.

Excellent find there. Too bad there isnt a way to bring it back without destroying it.

That is such a unique piece of history.  The guy says he found it near the Vietnam/Cambodian border, which would put that right on top of what was once the Ho Chi Minh Trail system.  Good chance that rifle was carried by a SOG recon man...  Wish I knew the whole history of it.  I'd much rather see it in a museum than demilled.

... would be neat to know the history behind it, why it is disassembled, how it was lost, etc.

smuggle it in a load of some good southeast asian opium.  customs can never seem to find that.

Well, maybe they wouldn't notice some old machine parts.

It is, FIREARMS DIV markings date to 1970 on full autos.

Tell him to eat it. They'll never find it then. And the stomach acid shouldnt damage it too bad.

Its a neat find, but sadly cutting it is the only legal way to bring it back. I wouldnt risk ass rape over a trashed reciever.
