| Does anyone make a collapsible stock, that has a thin cheek rest, that slides forward to cover the gap when the stocks fully extended? My beard gets caught between the stock and the tube when it's extended. I've looked and can't find such a thing. I know shave the beard.Not! Thanks for any help. |

I took a butt stock magazine pouch and used 50lb zip ties to attach it horizontally to the stock. I discovered that I could rotate the pouch to the top and get just the right height for my scope or eotech. It is long enough to cover the gap.
The reason you don't see these that go forward of the stock is they interfere with the operation of the charging handle. My adhoc cheek rest will do the same. |

I think Larue makes what you want for the CTR.
ETA I don't know if this will solve your problem but here it is: Larue cheek rest The UBR is a good option if you don't mind the cost and the weight. |

I have the same problem with my beard and the Magpul CTR stock. The LaRue RISR does prevent the beard from being caught.
What type of optic/mount do you have, if any? The RISR is great for optics that place the irons in the lower 1/3. Irons are usable, but you really have to press your cheek to get down to them. I have a scope with 1.5" mount that I could not use at all with the RISR. |

It sounds like you're looking for consistent cheek weld, not a riser or rest to reach your optics.
Or, I should say, it sounds like you're looking for a non-telescoping cheek weld that will capture your facial hair. Look in to the MagPul UBR or Ergo F93 stocks, both are designs that feature a moving "toe" that adjusts along a fixed cheek piece attached to the receiver extension. ~Augee |
