So I currently have a MBUS rear sight and an EOtech optic on my rail but depending on what I am doing I also have a scope that I mount on for distance. My question is, will a riser like the Larue Risr for my Magpul MOE stock need to come off everytime I switch back to my battlesights or EOtech optic? Or can I just mount the Cheek riser so its there when I feel like using my scope.

Summed up, will a cheek riser affect shooting without a mounted scope.

I'm a newb, teach me. lol

If your optic is already comfortable in your view, then you shouldn't really even need the cheek riser.

ETA: Whoops, missed the part about a secondary optic. You should be able to modify your cheek weld to your sights. Your cheek placement won't change the mechanical zero, though it may be a bit less comfortable to get a proper sight picture.

If your eye changes placement behind the sight (BUIS or scope or red dot) then the POI will be affected.

Tape some foam onto the stock to get to a comfortable spot with the scope, then go back to the red dot/BUIS and see how the temporary riser affects your shooting.

The RISR is designed for use in the OBR, which has an unusual elevated rail system.  The RiSR's tall height is not suitable for many normal ARs, but it does depend on your face and optic height.  Now, Magpul does offer a selection of fixed risers for the moe/ctr, but they'll block the charging handle in anything but the most extended stock position.
