I just recently bought a new Ciener kit. It appears the same as my friends kit when compared side by side. But mine will not drop into the upper. I have tried mine on two different uppers, but it always will tighten up with about 1/4" left to go, and will be stuck at a little less than that. (I'll post pictures if need be.)

I personally think my chamber adapter is slightly out of spec, though I guess it could be a number of other issues as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is pretty tight but I can close the receiver.  I have to gently pry it out when I'm done but it is getting easier with use.  Good luck.

Make sure your charging handle is locked in, if it isn't after dropping the ciener in, the ciener will hang about 1/4" out the back, also try cleaning your chamber with a good chamberbrush.

Thank you for the replies. I will have to completely clean the chamber when I can, though I don't think it will make that big of a difference.

Here are some pictures of the kit in my newly assembled upper.

This one shows where the kit starts to stick. You can also see the marks I made on the kit and upper when I forcefully removed the conversion. (I did pry, but it sure wasn't gentle.)

This is about as tight as I can get it without using aforementioned extreme force for removal.

This shows what the chamber adaptor looks like after several attempts at installation. The wear looks pretty much the same all the way around, though a small area that is worn evenly.

My chamber adapter is a lot smoother than yours appears. Try polishing it with some 600-800 grit to get rid of the machine marks. Mine drops in with almost no resistance.

Mine looks like yours, unless I tap a little bit to get it seated.  I have also pushed the buffer back in to the stock, pushed the upper down on the lower and button things up.  Seems to work fine that way, the Ciener kit is fully seated after firing some rounds, when I open it back up it is flush.

Thank you for the advice. I polished the adapter, and now it fits almost flush, but still requires a little extra force for removal. I'll go to it again until it works.
Thank you again!

I did polish it a ton. It drops in now, but I'm worried I polished it too much.
