| is a non military muzzlebreak like the Ycomp or KKF break etc etc legal for the service class of CMP. or do you have to have plain barrel on post ban and A2 flash hider on preban?? id hate to go through the trouble of making up a standard looking rifle and still be in the open class or unlimited or whatever its called. |

no muzzle brakes are legal in CMP competition for Service Rifle (which is what you are asking about). Even the fake (does nothing) muzzle devices don't seem to be allowed nationally (though your local club may allow them). BTW my A2 currently does not have a A2 muzzle brake for just this reason. However Kurt @ Kurt's Kustom says he can use roll pins to hold on his A2 brake - and with a pin punch you could remove the muzzle brake to shoot. Of course you'll need to re-zero once you remove the brake - then zero again when its reinstalled. |
