I am building another upper, thinking of using a A2 style clamp on front sight block, it will be a dedicated 22LR build. I plan to use the sling attachment on the sight block and am worried about it rotating during use. Is there anything you need to do when installing a clamp on front sight.

In most designs they are stronger than the barrel to upper assembly point.

The Vltor VST-1C folding front sight was tested to determine the amount of torque needed to cause the sight to rotate, when mounted to the barrel. Testing was unable to determine the torque measurement, as the upper receiver and barrel indexing pin failed before any sight movement.
