No matter which tool I use (I've used several) to mount a flashhider I tend to mess up the finish of the flats. I've marred to one degree or another an A1, A2, Vortex, AAC, Wilson, and Rainier. Yeah, I know; it’s a tool, shoot it. But I don’t want a $150 stainless Battlecomp with marred flats on my soon-to-be completed Blackout. So, what’s the trick? |

Besides tape, inner tube or a bit of leather, you don't have to Gorilla tighten the thing. Some just can't help themselves and over-tighten shit all the time causing damage as they go. Exactly. If it's a pin job it's welded in place. It doesn't have to be cranked on. |
