Was looking at this.  Looks like a parts gun.  Then noticed the upper maybe colt but has no C but looks like it has the acceptance stamps.  THey did not make this configuration with this barrel did they?

Late ‘60’s Colt A1 upper mated with a ban era Colt A2/HBAR barrel, definitely not a factory configuration.

I dig the slant brake though lol.

That upper alone is worth a little money, and some people dig the old school Bushmaster lowers with the M17 in the snake. I think someone got a good deal on parts.

Some of the things you guys catch... Impressive.  Not only would I have never even searched for that rifle, but even if it had popped up, I wouldn't have noticed or even given it a second look.

The LPK has a no tick safety and most the parts look gray.  Not a bushmaster LPK.

I bought the rifle and just got it today.  The upper is nice.  The colt inspection marks are nice and sharp so original finish.  The barrel as I thought is not an HBAR.  THe guy on smalarmssolutions said it is from the early 90's, preban.  The LPK is mostly gray, does not look like the bushmaster parts I have.  Has a gray buffer tube too.  I think someone must have built this with a partial colt parts set.  Complete cleaning kit inside too.

I will likely see if someone in the ban states could use this barrel (that homemade flashider came right off) and maybe sell the lower after swapping the parts I want out of it.
Took a chance and I think I did ok.
