I want to add one to my Bushmaster. Any recommendations? I want one that feels firmly in place regardless of which position it's in and it needs to fit and function good to. Thanks, |

There is a 12 page thread tacked at the top of the AR15 forum that covers all the pros and cons of the most popular collapsible stocks. Choosing the best collapsible stock for "you" At least read the first post because it contains all the subjective data on the featured stocks. All the posts after that will give you opinions on all the stocks. BTW, I don't think stocks are considered an accessory because you need one in order for the rifle to function. At the very least you need a buffer tube. |

with all collapsible stocks there is a chance that it will have some side to side movement in it. One of the members here came up with a solution for stocks that have some play in them and it is to heat the stock up with a heat gun, put it in a vice and easily squeeze it. The only stock you can get that will definetly not have any play in it is the Magpul all the other ones risk a chance of having some movement, That being said if you do go with a stock other than Magpul I would get one that is mil spec(VLTOR/CMT/COLT/CRANE) and not the larger diameter stock/extension (BUSHY/RRA/DPMS/OLY) |
