Am I possibly the only person who really doesn't like them? I guess I'm what ya'll call a "FUDD" gun person, but the collapsable stock doesn't really allow me to "connect" with the rifle. Though I'm sure (because of proliferation) it doesn't degrade accuracy, it sure looks like it should. If I'm alone in this, I guess I'm just wierd. Thoughts? |

| Used to hate them because they rattled, but found that a narrow strip of the 'fuzzy' side of velcro stuck to the inside of the tube fixed that. Then learned in the Army that they come in handy for when you wear heavy clothes, a tactical vest, or body armor- keeps your cheek weld consistent. |

Here's why I like collapsible stocks. They allow the rifle to become more compact....this is good for numerous reasons. An LMT or CTR (as mentioned above) have no rattle. I normally use almost the full length, fully extended on my CTR but when someone else shoots it, say a youngin or female, they may not like the length and therefore need to go shorter. Today's nicer collapsible's are pretty much just as tough as A2 stocks IMO. I think a good stock for you to try out, granted very few have even laid their paws on it b/c it's not out yet but the Magpul UBR stock may be good for you. |
Magpul product - see the photo above
That shouldn't be an issue for the M93B. At it's longest setting it's longer than an A2, and you can add 1/2 with the optional rubber buttpad (not shown in the photo above but I reccommend it after adding one to the above rifle). |
+1 makes me sad to see that magpull is pulling it off the market in favor of the UBR |
