How many turns of the buffer tube do your feel is adequate to capture the buffer retaining pin?  I have a Stag lower that I tried two different Vltor buffer tubes on and got two different results.  On the first tube after I got it installed I was able backout 1/2 turn before the retaining pin went flying.  On the second tube it was only 1/4 turn.

Thanks!

Never had a problem with the minimum amount of coverage.

I go till it makes contact with the pin portion (holding down the base flush) then back off one full turn (or the nearest amount to get the tube centered properly).

As long as you do not pinch the nipple on the buffer retaining pin and you still hold the rim of the pin with the buffer tube.....you will be good to go

Thanks guys for the help.  On other lowers that I have had I was able to get all the way up to the nipple and back off a little to get it centered.  For some reason with these buffer tubes I can't get as close as I would like.
