I have a Stag 2H and the collapsible stock seems to have a lot of play in it . Whether extended or collapsed it moves around when fired or even carrier. Is there a way to "firm" it up and sort of lock it down from moving or is this just the way it is?

Some people take it off, soften the plastic with a hair dryer, and gently squeeze it in a vise.  Let it cool, and then put it back on.  Should be tighter.  YMMV.

- electrical tape on the receiver extension
- the "hair dryer trick" (search on it, you heat the stock body up and reform it)

i've noticed the stag/cmt stocks have a lot of play in the adjustment lever as well... which requires tapping out the roll pin and tightening up the nut...

Some here have set the stock body in a vice, and slowly heated it with a hair dryer. Tightening the vice a bit will squeeze the stock together. Let it cool, then reinstall and check the fit.

I’ve personally used a small strip of aluminum speed tape across the top of the receiver extension. Applied with the stock body removed, once reinstalled you can’t see a thing.
