I just purchased a COLT 6920 Magpul edition and am pretty exited. The gun shoots well and i am happy with it from a CQC standpoint.
I am interested in buying a second upper (longer barrel im guessing 20-24inch that i will put a scope on to kill paper targets. I want to get a completed upper that requires no work from me! My gun currently is giving me about 2MOA when i shoot good. Maybe a little better. My AR 10 was within 1MOA. Any recommendations on which upper i should get? I dont know how much Uppers go for but i would like to keep it under 600. I could spend more if there was a signficant increase in quality. Also does a complete upper come qith BCG and charging handle? or do i use the same one? I thought that all AR15's were compatible but reading online I heard mixed reviews about Colt compatibility. Thanks! |

$600 is going to be tough for a target gun with great accuracy. You will need a seperate bolt and bolt carrier for the new gun. It is't a good idea to swap them between guns.
If you can find a good deal on a LaRue Steath Upper, that is guaranteed to shot 1/2" groups at 100 yards using Federal Gold Medal Match or Black HIlls Match in 69 and 77 grain. |
