Looking for Colt 4-Position Stock for Pre-Ban Colt M-4orgery that I have in the makes. Who, What and Where to look for quality? Looking for complete set with tube, buffer, spring stock etc. Is it worth it to go Colt? Or, can the same be had without the logo for less. What to stay away from? The current Colt ribbed style can now be found in the $130 range, while the previous version is in the same range new. Used, the older ersion is around $100. The Bushmaster or RRA is a good value at around $70. I have a no name four position that is tighter than my Colt, but that is the exception in my experience. Be warned, there are some made in China (yes, China) 4 positions being sold on Ebay and by Sportman's Guide. Personally, if you are spending the dough to build an all Colt rifle, you might as well keep it all Colt. |
| I bought a new colt m4 4-pos stock from gundealer3 on auctionarms for 130.00 and had it two days later. I'm sure it's not the lowest price in history for buying a new colt stock, but it was worth it to me. Besides, it's only money and you may as well have the best it can buy. |

SAW is a great source for genuine Colt stuff, but they are a little high on some items - colt stocks are $179.00 plus shipping. That said, I just ordered a new ar6721 upper from them about three weeks ago and LOVE it. Update. Got one from U.S. Armory. M-4 spec, U.S. made for $79.00 plus shipping. Thoughts? Also, do you think I have the Mepor 21 mounted too far forward. Is the Aimpoint ML2 better than the Mepor? I'm asking for your honest thoughts on helping me make this a sweetie. Whatya think?
