Hi guys, I'm not new to AR's, but am new to Colts. Can any of you enlighten me on the pros and cons of a new Colt 6400C model? I'm looking to get a carbine-length AR as opposed to my full-sized rifles. It will be used as a pleasure shooter and at times will get some rough use. Thank you.

I have 2 6400cs, love the M4 Carbine rollmark. They do have the fixed faux collapsible stock and muzzle brake and no bayonet lug for compliance with states that still have AWBs. Great rifle. I modified mine a bit, sold off the uppers, installed collapsible stocks, registered the two lowers as SBRs and installed Colt  6921 14.5" uppers. Receivers are great for making a GI M4 clone

Great looking rifle you've got, wow! One like yours is too much for me, but it is nice. Can a guy just trade stocks if he wants to up grade to a real collaspable stock? Thanks for the input.

Yes, I did that on my two 6400's. Used the ones from one of our site vendors, BCM. The M4 model stock kits. Easily removed the butt-ugly muzzle brakes, and sent the uppers to another site vendor, ADCO, to have the muzzles threaded and flash suppressors installed. That's all that was done. Work like tops. Like Mr Crowl said, the M4Carbine marks are neato.

Do you have a line on a brand new Colt?
