so I have this Colt 6400c and I removed the muzzle brake and I want to make the fake/pined stock retractable . what is the best way to do it ? can I make the one I have work or should I just buy a new one ,and is the buffer tube mil spec or commercial ?

1. buy a new stock.
2. ADCO or AR-15 barrels can thread your muzzle.
3. Buffer tube is so different, it doesn't even apply.

quality wise the is  BCM stock at Bravo as good as the colt original ,and just not marked Colt ? I assume a genuine Colt stock will be much more money . I would like to make it look like a stock Colt preban if possible, a KISS no bling stock M4 .

The only part that you need to buy is a new buffer tube. The stock can be taken off and put on a regular buffer tube. You  will have to knock the pins out and take off the screw. The buffer and spring are fine.. BUFFER TUBES AREN'T that much money !

I just installed a CMMG M4 Stock yesterday...so tight it is almost stiff when I try to move it, not a rattle in it anywhere.

Honestly, you need to sell this gun to somewone who wants the M4 Carbine marked lower and buy a 6920.
