I finally shot my Colt 6450 after a few days of being held up to take the time to shoot it - Simply put, I'm impressed! I took it to our only local in door range - It went BANG, BANG, BANG and hit paper exactly were I aimed, no sight adjustment needed ~ Also I let others with me shoot it, they were all walking away with a big shit ass grin on their face after leaving the firing line - Good stuff IMHO ~

Congrats!  I always bring my 6450 with me to the range.  It is a ton of fun to shoot and always gets the grins.

My 6450 is one of my favorite AR's and it gets more range time then any other.

Congrats on the 6450.
I bought mine to have an AR to shoot at the indoor ranges during the cold months.

Thanks and ditto that - Right now it's 12 below zero - The 6450 and indoor shooting at it's best.

My 6450s will be one of the last ARs I'd ever sell, 2nd to last to be specific. Most are sighted in pretty dang good, just very minor adjustments usually needed.

They run right out of the box which is nice.

Has anybody had any function issues with the 6450 in regard to bullet weight(115gr/124gr/147gr)?  What seems to work best?

I've been shooting hard cast 147 reloads and they are pretty darn accurate. Most weights seem to do pretty well, I haven't noticed a huge difference in accuracy tho POI is a bit different, especially with the subsonic 147s.

The COLT 9mm carbines are great weapons. I love mine.. All I have shot in mine are Winchester 124gr. A Magazine loader is helpful..

Thanks for the replies, I was putting an ammunition order together when i read this thread, I will go with the 124gr instead of 115.

All I shoot in mine is Blazer 115gr.  The other ammo I've used is Spear Gold Dots that my buddy from CBP gives me.  They are usually a mixed batch of lots as they are the ammo that's left on the floor after their qulification sessions.
