Is there a review on this site?  I also was wondering do they accept standard barrels & nuts?

Search for the reviews, they accept standard barrels but use a proprietary nut that isn't available to the public.

Go to the industry section and click on Colt.  Lots of info in there.

Here's a review.... I bought just the upper and love it. It is fairly light and I like the fact that it is monolithic, the rail is ultra solid, lol. I actually like the front sight, but I am undecided about the rear sight. As far as the barrel nut goes, I would really like to have a wrench for it and I am pissed at Colt for not letting them available to the public. Whatever though, I guess I'll just have to pay an authorized Colt repair facility to swap the barrel out later. I think it would be nice with a 12.5" Centurion CHF barrel

I like to be able to service my weapons when needed.  I suppose it would be a while before the barrel wears out.

Nice rifle!  I'll have to read all of the post.  How do you like the sites, especially the rear?

Love mine!

1st time my 12 yo daughter shot the rifle, she shot an 1 1/2 inch group @ 50 yards w/ xm193 using the ACOG. (5 shot group)

My 5 shot groups avg less than 1 inch @ 50 yards w/ xm193 and 1 1/2 inch @ 100 yards.  75gr TAP gave me sub MOA.

I really like the sights, but im not picky.

Are the rails compact or large?   I went to local Gander Mtn but all the had was a 6920.

they are about like a KAC rail  as far as bulk, but a helluva lot lighter it seems

the sights are fine. I like the MATCH a great deal and hvae them on all my rifles that need a BUIS. the front it nice too, and its titanium so its doesnt add extra weigth to the barrel.  the rails dont heat up as  fast as a RAS  so if you hold the rail with no panels, it dosnt burn you  after 1-2 mags.    as of today  I have put a little over  3K rounds through mine since christmas and have yet to clean it since I 1st took it out of the box. just lube. no malfuntions. I have even used PMC and some wolf.  if you get it you wont be  let down. unless  non standard  barrel nuts casue you ulcers and  hives

I been  curious , do those new magpul stocks seem to add in noticable  heft?

I put a Magpul CTR on my 6940.  I'd guess that the extra two ounces or so improved the handling and balance.  The 6940 does balance very nicely - it is a sprightly carbine, especially when not overloaded with accessories.
