I have what I thought are two Colt bolts marked differently, What is the difference with these Colt bolts ?  One is marked MP F  and one is marked MP C ?  Is the MP F not a Colt ?

Thanks!  From what I gather the MP F is made by FN

I think your right, I think that might be a FN contract part.

Seems to be a sudden rash of these bolts around, I got one too marked MPF. Looks like a very good quality piece.

I'm sure it's a nice bolt (FN is an ACTUALL Milspec manufacturer) But, IT"S NOT A COLT (even though Colt may be buying/distributing them for some reason)!

I just bought one myself (thought I was buying a Colt) and would have liked to have been told at the time that it WAS NOT a COLT bolt!

It does seem to be a "Rash"!

I would consider Colt and FN bolts as equals.  M16A2 = FN & M4s = Colt.  Both milspec and battle proven.  I have both and have no problems with either.

You know the funny thing is that it came with a BLACK insert, but the thinnest/weakest extractor spring I have ever seen

Perhaps one is suppose to offsets the other! LOL

Never saw that before - I was under the impression that one came with the other - guess not.

I thought I was getting an actual Colt Bolt too! Now that you mention it i'll check the extractor spring and probably replace it right away.
