| So I got a new "Colt" bolt from a reliable dealer today marked with a lonely "C". Their advertising said some are MPC and some just C. Would it be a reasonable assumption that the C is a batch that does not have samples pulled for MP inspection? Any spec differences? |

I have a Colt bolt with just a C marking, I got it brand new back in 2005.
Some of the other Colt bolt markings are: MPC MP X C (where X are month mfg code) MPD (Colt Canada formerly Diemaco) Ground down MPC with large "C" over it +1 All Colt bolts are high pressure tested and MP inspected per Mil-spec each and every one. |
