I recently came across a Colt "Delta HBAR"rifle. It has a factory attached scope and mount (3x9), factory comb extension, red Delta triangle emblems on each side of the grip handle and a beautiful factory supplied aluminum hard case that is part of the original factory package. It also has the manual and two Colt twenty rd. mags in the sealed pouch. The gun was left to a person I know  by his father who died a while back. The owner says his dad got it new in 1986-88. Does anyone know what the model number of this AR is? It appears unfired and if so, what would this rifle with all accessories be worth to a collector. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an old 1987 Colt Firearms catalog in front of me and it states it is a model R6600DH.  Have no idea how much it is worth in the condition you describe.  I'm sure someone on this registry can help with that.  Good luck.

My spreadsheet says R6600DH AR-15A2 Delta H-BARĀ  CAL .223

I concur.

Not saying it's worth this, but a quick web search show them in 98-99% going for $1300-$2100.

I have one - it's a collector, not a shooter these days.

It's just like the Winchester '73, the top 10% of HBAR's.
