| Anyone know a release date on the rifle?. I haven't heard or seen it anywhere? |

Quoted: Might be a while. I heard they were working out the kinks on that forward assist plug. Seriously I have no idea. What draws you to such a rifle? |

Well If I can get the rifle around the 600 mark. Would keep the lower, bcg and charging handle. Mite keep the barrel. Trash the upper. Mostly for the brand name Quoted:

I know I shouldn't buy just because of the brand. Waiting on more specs, but colt might be on to something here Quoted:

Buy for whatever reason you want. It's your gun. You're more likely to appreciate a gun you bought because you liked the brand, than some generic substitute because people told you not to buy the one you wanted for superficial reasons. |

Just buy a 6920 OEM That's what I'm after... As soon as the prices come back down. Down?? They are still $6-799 when in stock. Buy the base model and put your own furniture on. |
| IMO, $600 is a lot of money to pay just to keep the lower, Colt or not. I understand the desire to have that rollmark, but you could build up a nice Noveske lower or something similar and by catching deals on parts probably end up around the same price- especially if you went with a Gen II Noveske. For just a little more money, you could be into a Gen III. |

If that's the one that has the forward assist plug & no ejection port cover, there's really nothing wrong with the upper. The one I'd seen appears to be a regular Colt forged upper that for some reason just doesn't have the FWD assist & EPC. You can add those for very little.
Now the barrel OTOH looks like shit. The one I'd seen has no bayonet lug, which may not bother most people. |
