I've had a hard time finding a low-pro gas block for a .625 DTI lightweight barrel.
I picked up a Colt FSB .625 on EE and just finished chopping it down to low-pro style and painting it. I slipped it on, and WTF? The FSB pins don't match up with the DTI grooves!? The Colt seems shorter. Does this sound right?
I assumed that all FSB's had the same pin alignment, but I guess not?

Also, does anyone have any experience with the AR15Barrels.com low-pro gas block?
Thanks ~

That's a big negative.  FSB taper pins are drilled for each barrel, and will be slightly different depending on the barrel.  If you've got the right tools, you can make it work, but typically, when installing a new pinned FSB, you want to start with one that hasn't been drilled yet.

You may want to try set screws, though, that may work.

You assumed incorrectly.

Good idea on the set-screws!! I think I'm going to give that one a try

I usually don't assume. I preach the "ASS out of U and ME" at work. Tables have turned
