[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt Fans.......Input Please

My boss (a really good guy) has offered to sell me a Colt A4 Carbine. He has it about a year and it has never been fired. He's asking $1200.00 He up graded the stock and the flash suppressor.

Not sure what that was about. Well, I'm pretty much up to speed on the pricing of most of these AR rifles so it seemed like a better than average deal.
What do you guys think???

That seems fair. I purchased a NIB 6721 this year for $1350. If you like it, buy it!

I have $1250 in my 6920. So I think that is a fair deal IMO. No upgrades on my gun either.

I'd try to talk him down just to see what he does and after about 15 minutes of pestering him...if he doesn't budge...then I'd go ahead and pay the 1200

good price on a colt, but if you want a rifle that has great parts you can make one for less.

Not exactly sure what the model is, he said it did have "National Match" on the lower or "Match Target" ...

I don't remember. For all I know that's just a come-on by Colt to make people think there getting something special. I'll try to find out tomorrow.

Its probably a Colt "Match Target M4 Carbine" that originally came with bastardized ban furniture. Counteroffer at $850 and make sure the "upgrades" were done right.
