So...I saw a photo of a nickel plated "Colt Guard" SP-1...Damn it I want one!

Does anyone know of a way to even imitate this look though?

I was working on the Retro Black Rifle update for the R6007 (Colt Guard SP1) today.
It is hard to find pictures of one when you want.
They do look nice.

I have several photos, but am unsure of origin.  I'll email a few or something.

Try contacting this guy.  I think his Colt Guard SP1 is original.

Wonder if Victor at US Anodizing....

From the linked forum posted above, on his new Colt Guarded SP1...:
I plan on getting the Colt history letter for it, putting a gunsock around it, and stashing it in the safe. I don't think I'll even shoot it.

Take it out and SHOOT IT!  Obviously no stupid rapid bump firing just to burn the barrel out, but setting up some targets and shooting from the bench or doing a few double-tap drills with it ain't gonna hurt her!  What would you rather do?  Leave it locked in your safe till the day you die, so that perhaps some family member or errant offspring might do something stupid like turn it in to a gun-destruction program for $100?  Or enjoy shooting a real retro-jewel?

Der_Hans,

Man that picture of the ColtGuard rifle you sent me with the walnut furniture is beautiful!
I had to share it with others.
