Hello all. My new Colt LE6920 ("golf clap") should be arriving tomorrow. What would be a good brand of ammo to use with this gun? im thinking maybe Black Hills? And what grain to start out with? With or without moly coating? FMJ?i also just received some Slip 2000 EWL. You guys ever tried any of this? Oh BTW im a NoOoOb. Love all the info I read off of this site.

I would buy up some of the federal xm193 ammo that is becoming available. I shot some of this yesterday, and I was pleased with the results through my 6920. I personally don't believe moly coated bullets are worth it, since you cannot swap back to non moly bullets once you fire a number of moly coated bullets.

I would buy whatever you can find cheap and feed it to the gun.

The only thing I would recommend is you stay with brass only casings.  I've shot wolf in mine before and broke one of the rims off the cases.

My belief is that wolf should only be in AK's and SKS's (and the like).

I have a little place here in TX that I pick up 1,000 brass 55gr FMJ for $310 after tax and to me that's a pretty good deal.

I bought a new 6920 couple of weeks ago for 1395.00 at a Houston area gun show. Last one the dealer had. Sold off the 16"inch upper, bought a new Colt 14.5" upper from Clyde Armory, sent it to Steve at Adco to permanently attach an extended SDI flash suppressor. Upper is due back Monday, can't wait!.

They probably don't, but just want to ask...do they just sell the lowers for the 6920 models?

I was at the Wanenmacher Gun Show (world's largest gun show) this past weekend and could only find one (1) 6920. His sticker price was $1600 and his mil/leo price to me was $1500.

LMT is looking better and better at this point.

If I can find one in the 1300-1400 range when I want to buy ,I am ordering a LMT Standard Patrol Model for like 1100

Motox. I use Black hills 77 gr. Hornady Tap 75gr. .223 and T2 5.56 with great success.
I use Slip EWL and like it.
Congrats on your 6920 you are going to like it.
I hope you can get rid of the clap . Maybe you should not play golf for awhile.

I bought 2 6920's a few months back at $1,250.00 per, including shipping. They had 36 in stock at the time, although I have no idea how their inventory is now.

Awesome to deal with. Had the carbines inside a week.

I have a fair supply of Prvi M855 and Fed XM193 so that's what I've been feeding my LE6920. My Colt likes both of these rounds and the cost of either isn't bad (relatively speaking). YMMV.

Enjoy your new Colt.

Called jensen arms today and the lady who answered the phone told me that they didn't have any Colt LE6920's. Anyone hear different from them?
