14.5 = SBR.

LE6920 is good. If you have trouble finding one email me.

A Colt 6921 is an NFA item due to the barrel being less than the 16" minimum. The only legal options are to register the rifle as a SBR (short barreled rifle) or permanently attach a long-enough flash suppressor such as a Phantom so that you exceed the minimum legal barrel length.

So I need to purchase one and install the FS to make it 16. Can I buy the LE6921 straight up with out it though? To register it is how much?  I want the real deal!

To register an SBR (short barreled rifle) will cost you a $200 tax stamp through the ATF plus a 4-6 month wait before your paperwork is approved giving you the go ahead to add the shorty upper to your lower. You will also have to have your intials or name as well as the city and state you live in engraved on your lower in a visible spot. Or you can send your upper to ADCO and have them cut it at 14.5 and attach a phantom flash hider or from what I understand there is an extended A2 flash hider available that could be permanently attached to bring your total length to 16". The extended A2 is sold at Talon Arms and Kurt's Kustom Firearms.

When they cut will it be just like factory 14.5 barrels. with the exception of the extended a2?  The barrels are the only difference between the 20 and 21 right?

Correct. The LE6920 has a 16" barrel, while the LE6921 has a 14.5" barrel.

You have to have your name, ect, engraved on the lower?  Are you serious?

Based on information that I've read on ARFCOM, I was under the impression that if it is a factory produced SBR, that you would not have to mark your name/city since you aren't the manufacturer.

This is true.

You only have to engrave the lower if you make an SBR on a Form 1.
