you can find them for less than a hundred bucks or pay a few hundred. Generally they are all pretty much the same. As a majority of the members here usually say to just get the one that you can afford and has the best logo that you like. Where have you seen a colt lower for under 500 if you dont mind me asking |
why would you want to build a rifle off a $500.00 colt lower when you can pick up almost any other lower for around a $100.00 the 500.00 Colt lower isnt going to be any better than a $100.00 they are all pretty much the same...! its not like "Colt" use's better Better aluiminum to make there lowers.. your just basically paying $400.00 more for it to be stamped Colt... Unless thats what tickles your fancy.. then go for it...
i would much rather spend the extra $400.00 on a better Barrel, than on a Roll stamp that is not going to Improve the function nor accuracy of the weapon...!
but hey if you want your 6.8 to say colt then have at it... i would rather find a Lower that is stamped 6.8 then have a Colt stamped 5.56 and run it as a 6.8 HELL i would rather have a lower stamped Multi than a Colt stamped 6.8 Bottom line the Colt lower is not going to make your rifle shoot better becuase it say's colt... the only sense of it would be becuase you have to have matching roll marks... like you want your 6.8 reciever to match your Colt 1911 or maybe you have a Colt belt buckle or something like that..
then i could see you wanting your build to be a colt... hell if thats what you like and its worth the extra dollars then it makes it worth it to you! |

This is why i want one for 300 bucks at most but i have decided getting a spikes i rather just price but if they had one for the 250-300 yeah id get it |

Colt doesn;t sell assembled lowers; only complete rifles. THe ones you see on GB are either stripped down lowers from assembled rifles or lowers separated from their uppers. Thanks for your answer. since you know about these does colt make a full rifle in 6.8 |

No; Colt does not make an AR rifle chambered in 6.8mm SPC. THe calibers htey have made rifles in are 5.56mm, .223 Remington (yes, there is a difference) and 7.62x39.
The only companies that I knwo that make complete rifles in 6.8mm SPC are: 1) Noveske Rifleworks 2) Barrett Firearms 3) Lewis Machine & Tool 4) Bushmaster Firearms 5) Rock RIver Arms 6) Armalite Amongs others... |

A couple of weeks ago at the SAR show in Phoenix a dealer had two or three strippped lowers for over $350. Can't remember the exact price. I like nice things , but even these were out of my price range. |
