[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt M4 Question

The safe/fire lever is rotating on my Colt but not staying in one position, i.e. full rotation no stop or catch. Suggestions?

Is this a new phenomena with this particular gun? Either way I would remove the grip & check to make sure the safety spring & detent are there. If they are make sure the spring is not depressed for some reason causing the detent not to catch in the safety notches.

Have you recently removed the pistol grip? The selector detent and spring have a way of dropping out without being noticed.

Nope have not removed the grip, but it has been a while since fired, I usually fire the Bushy. I will check this out, thanks guys.
