What do the letters MTM in front of the serial number stand for? The rifle is supposedly a Colt Match Target Carbine. Serial number follows the MTM with 402xxx. Thinking about buying this rifle. From what I found most Colts only have 2 letters in front the serial number. Just curious. Thanks for any help.

I'm quite sure MT stands for Match Target...maybe the other M stands for M4.

S/N on my Match Target Hbar starts with CMH (=Colt Match Hbar??). I've also seen CCH on other Match Target rifles. According to biggerhammer.net CH stands for Competition Hbar, so CCH could mean Colt Competition Hbar.

My M4 (MT6400) also has the MTM prefix. None of the other MTs I've seen on the shelf have that, from what I've seen.

All of the Colt M4's I have ever had started with a "W"... but then again, that was Uncle Sugars M4's

The BUIS is an Airsoft BUIS I believe. I believe that is a copy of a KAC 300M BUIS, which has different screw heads than that. I might be wrong but that is what it looks like.

Roll markings are incorrect in that picture, the already mentioned M instead of the correct W prefix, and the CFD roll mark.

also size of the trigger/hammer pins seems different.
