I'm definitely looking into buying a Colt 6400C soon after the ban expires. Anyone hear anything about their availabilty after the ban? I assume they will have FS and collapsable stocks? Where would be the best place to get one? I checked SAWsales and they showed they were out of stock. I'm not sure when they will be getting any in but it looked like they had a fair price on them NIB. What's the word on them?

It'll be interesting to see how Colt handles this one.  They already have the LE6920 which is the same rifle with preban features and it will be legal after Sept 13th.

good point, I didn't think about that. If anyone knows the scoop on Colt rifles after the ban, lets hear it. I'd really like to get my hands on a NIB Colt M4gery after the ban expires.

Is the 6920 the same?
Colt shows the 6920 being 1 1/2 lbs lighter.
Even if Colt stays P.C. There should be no problem finding LEO's who are selling their Now Legal carbines.

I checked with my gunshop yesterday.  They can't get squat from Colt.  They told me they have had a Gold Cup on order for some poor guy for 3 months now!  And forget about getting a rifle! If you can't get a rifle from Colt now, I'm sure it won't get better.

My solution to the issue was to buy an MT6400C lower receiver minus the buttstock assembly, an LE6920 complete upper, and an LMT Sopmod buttstock.  I have the lower here and the other items are being stored at a friend's until Sept 14th.

I don't think Colt is going to manufacture Pre-ban type AR's for civillians untill they know for sure if the ban is gonna end.  I believe that the LE ones have LE markings on them.

The LE markings won't mean much after the ban.  You will be able to leagally own one as it has nothing that a civilian can't have.  Colt might make a company policy saying that they can't be ordered for a civilian, but it doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to get one if you were persistent and diligent enough.
