Has anyone removed a pinned compensator from a Colt Match Target?  How hard is it to remove the pins and compensator?  Is the barrel threaded?

Thanks,
Gary

Our department use to have them.  The MB is easy to take off.  As a matter of a fact, some of our  guns launched them down range on their own!  After the ban hit the sunset I had my rifle barrel threaded and put the proper A2 flash hider on.

Mine launched off too until they put the correct solid pins in there.  Easy to remove, just punch the pins and pull it off (not threaded).  ADCO or AR15Barrels can thread the barrel and add a FH if that's what you're after.

Thanks for the information.  The MB seems to work well.  I am interested in free floating the barrel and replacing the gas block.

I bought a Match Target with the brake because I thought it made the gun look more 'finished' than a plain barrel.
In practice, the brake was LOUD (especially under a range roof) and added even more ground hugging weight out on the front of the Colt.
I had mine turned to Gummint Profile and the brake pulled off and replaced by ADCO.
