Where can I find info on what flattop complete upper assy. will fit
my Colt Sporter II lower ? I don't want to order something I can't use.
Looking for 20" varmint set up.

This is the place for answers. Problem is, you have a large hole lower, while most everything but Colt is small hole. I think someone makes a pushpin style adapter that'll allow your receiver to work with any small hole upper, but I'm not sure. Sorry I don't have a better answer, but I wanted to give your post a bump. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I looked at it this morning it seems to have the large hole front lug. I will mic. it
later today after work. My eyes lie sometimes.

It's easy to tell. The standard size is the same as the takedown pin at the rear. If it isn't the same size then the difference should be obvious enough that you don't need the mic.
