| I have a pre-ban colt sporter and want to buy an M4 upper for it. I have never done any sort of AR building. Will they connect right or do I need a different lower to make it work? |

If your pre-ban Sporter is like mine with the std (.250") takedown pivot then, you can put a newer upper right on there with no trouble. If your's has the larger (.312") takedown you'll have to get a adaptor pin. The only thing you may not like is that the pre-ban Colts are gray, all the new stuff is dark black so you'll have a mismatch in colors, unless you can find yourself a older Colt M4 upper that is gray. That will be pretty hard though. |
