I just picked up a Colt M4 upper in a trade.
The upper reciever is correct (marked C AF and has a 4 above the gas tube), but I have questions about the BBL and FSB.

The barrel is M4 profile, marked: C MP 5.56 NATO 1/9
FSB is marked: G7 I 1 (no F that I can see)

Did Colt ever produce a 1/9 M4?

Can anyone tell me what I have here?

Thanks
J. Prescott

You have a put together. Don't believe Colt ever made a 1/9 M4 BBL. Wonder if it's a 6721 turned down as those have a 1/9 and I think are the only 1/9 BBLs Colt makes.

A Colt M4 barrel will have the number 4 stamped on the rear face of the barrel extension, at the 3 o'clock position, you can look for that.

Colt 6922 had a 1/9 twist-M4 barrel.

Obviously if it were 14.5" it would, but the 6922 was listed as a 16.1"er
