I read on a thread somewhere that showed where to look for proof marks on the Colt Vinyl Collapsible stock. Does anyone know where I can check for those marks and what am I looking for?

Inside the latch in the back should be "NN" or "newton" with some number and on the right side of stock, "kinda covered by the latch" should be "NN" and maybe a number. The "NN" on the side of the stock may be hard to see due to thickness of the coating.

under the latch on the body there may be a 1, 2, N or NN. on the latch itself sometimes there is a small logo with Newton Industries or something. i've seen some with no markings either.

when you say "vinyl"....you talkin' fiberlite?

or the alloy stocks?

If you can see archived threads, this one has some good pics.
Like one of BoyWonder777's pics in that thread, mine has the "Newton New Haven" logo on the underside of the lever itself (not on the stock body).

Thanks for the help everyone. I found them on the underside of the latch. the first two has Newton and a number 4, the third has Newton and the number 2. Oh and it was the Vinyl coated stocks, not the Fiberlite (sp?)!
