[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt m16 A1 upper

I am lookihg for a new colt M16A1 upper. I contacted buffer tech and cdnn and they are out. Does anybody know where else I can get one or does anybody have one they would want to sell? If somebody has one i would prefer a new one if so. You can email me at [email protected] Thanks John

The uppers that these Co's had for sale were NOT SP1 uppers. They were M16A1 (mostly USAF) take-offs from the A2 PIP.

These uppers had foward assists - the SP1 does not.

The pivot pin hole on these uppers takes the mil std .250" push pin - the SP1 upper is set up for the .315" two-screw pivot.

These Co's advertise them as SP1 uppers either out of ignorance or avarice - I don't know which.

If what you truly wanted was an SP1 upper, be glad they were out of them

contact cmmg for used surprus M16A1 uppers. they refinished mine and looks great now !!

I purchased one of these from Kiesler's a few months ago. It looks new, still had grease on some of the parts. I'm pleased with what I got from them.

CDNN also has them, altho they don't come with Bolt/Carrier or charging handle.

Check this out. I bought mine from him and it was in excellent condition. Even storage grease was there. He has severel M16 A1 uppers left for sale.

Where is the guy located at that you bought the upper from? Was it a colt upper? Did it come complete with the bolt and bolt carrier?

KIesler's still has some as of about a hour ago. I know there is one sitting in the display case. Call, don't e-mail as you will go to internet sales and you want retail, extension 4. Ask for Corky, Chris, Perry, or James.
