Hello fellas, Did a search and came up dry but I need to know what markings Colt detachable carry handles and stock bodies came with. Also did the bufer tubes have any particular markings? Thanks John |

Bigger Hammer has zilch on current Colt stuff. So far as I know, the best way to spot a Colt carry handle is that the clamping wheels unscrew to a certain point, then are stopped by an internal dimensional change that keeps them from coming off. There's no special forge mark on them. Re the stocks, again there's no particular marking on the current M4 type. They do show some dimensional/appearance differences from other brands, but unless you know exactly what you're looking for, it's hard to tell. If you can find a picture of a current Colt type, and any of the aftermarket pieces that is large enough for you to see datails, you can probably spot what they are and use them as a reference. |
