Does anyone think Colt will market LEO models to the public (that is, with regular size control pins) if the ban sunsets?

After the ban of 1989 Colt voluntarily stopped selling rifles with collapsible stocks and bayonet lugs. Anything is possible buy I doubt it.

After the import ban?  Why?  I knew they had stopped installing bayonet lugs on select models before the AWB in '94, but collapsible stocks on carbines?  Are you sure?

I think Colt stared to make their rifles more "civilan friendly" at some point.  Are'nt they the ones that put sear blocks in the lowers?

As far as your origional question:  I don't know.  They may...They may not.  Colt seems to have a large "gray area" IMO.

I'm sure ALL manufacturers will feel a bit reluctant to sell once LEO ONLY to civies.

Yes as far as I know. They sold the 6520 Gov't Carbine, 6450 9mm Carbines, and 134 - 6721 Tactical Carbine models between 1989 and 1994 but they were sold to law enforcement only. They weren't restricted by the Gov't but Colt voluntarily restricted the sale. Most made their way to civilian hands. Colt did sell collapsible stocks as replacement parts, buy not installed on production guns.

Regardless of what Colt does or doesn't want you can pretty much gaurantee that the LEO models are going to start showing up in the hands of mere "civilians".
