I dont have one, but I know a guy who does. What would be a fair price for me to offer him?

I'm such an idiot.

Yesterday at the Lakeland show I ran across a guy that had a great one for sale for $150.  I said I would think about it and by the time I went back it was gone.

I havent seen it but it's supposed to be near perfect. With Colt logo. Bu no box or lens caps. Is there any way I can tell where it was made? U.S or Japan. And which is worth more.

Thanks

I know this is off topic but where can I find a decent copy of the Colt scope. I had a Chinese made one a couple of years ago and it was total junk.
Thanks

The Hakko scopes are made in Japan and are good quality with consistent adjustments and good optics. They are not exact clones of the older Colt scopes (also made by Hakko) but are rather a product improved version with a very nice external windage adjustment.  Cosmetically speaking the windage and BDC turrets are farther forward on the scope.

There is a scope being made in China that is cosmetically identical to te older Colt design, but I suspect the quality is pretty poor.
